He puts everything he has into his Final Spirit Cannon, all his strength, all his might but it was not enough. He is overwhelmed and engulfed by Frieza's Supernova and perishes along with the rest of the Saiyans. Heartbreakingly epic.

First DB Minus retcons the whole story with this one, then Super retcons it with Beerus being the one who ordered the destruction, then this movie retcons this again, and then the manga retcons it once more with Beerus tellling Vegeta that he ordered the destruction. So messy. I'll just stick with the original
