As much as you being out amongst the hurricane makes my buttcheeks clench, I also have deep respect. I’m not sure if you view it the same, but I’m sure a storm like that carries a lot of Mother Earth’s energy. You not only witnessed that energy close-up, but embraced and played amongst it. There’s just something so beautifully child-like to this. I can’t even imagine being amongst something so powerful from our Mother. I can’t imagine having the courage and curiosity to be amongst it like you were.
While I know Ian caused a lot of damage, I’m jealous of you and look up to you for how you live.
Thank you for documenting something so spectacular. 🌎🌊🤍

Hey Jack! Glad all of you made it through the hurricane ok. I live in central Florida on the east side. My neighborhood is a disaster because of a lot of flooding in various places. I can't go anywhere in my car because of water on some roads. I wonder how long it will take for the levels of the water to go down. I think stores are closed here. It was scary when the hurricane went through. I know it was worse for people on the west coast of Florida. I'm very sad about all the destruction to people's homes, property, and cars, etc. Maybe I will be stuck at home for a week or more. I don't know when the roads will be clear again. Some people's homes have water in them, and their property is flooded here. The sun was out today. I'm so glad it stopped raining, and strong winds stopped. ~ Love & God bless! 🙁✌🏄🏝🌊

Glad Jack and the gang made it through alright. Praying for the rest of Florida and other places affected along the coast. Hurricanes are fascinating, but also tragic.

Over all it was cool seeing the boys having fun in it. Kinda reminds me of watching rocket power a bit. Lmao.

Thank u for sharing! It's interesting watching the difference between American hurricanes and the Australian cyclones I've been through. Sorry to everyone who lost family, pets, and property, sending love and strength 🫂💜

Jack, Trin and all the crew, I cant tell you how much i have enjoyed watching this "mini documentary" From someone who absolutely loves storms and who lives in a part of England Uk that does hardly ever get severe weather, this was really interesting to watch and i would have loved to be there with ya'll to witness and explore this storm with. Must be such an experience. ❤

Good to see you upload, I'm from the same area but moved away few years ago so seeing this all from a distance brings back many memories of how things are when big storms roll through...The new camera you're using is badass, the picture quality is amazing! Glad ya'll didn't catch the brunt of the storm and the area is still standing...Take care Jack!

Fort Myers here... this has been quite the horror story, so many people displaced and properties decimated. We've never seen the water rise anything like this, miles from the beach homes had 6ft of water come through their homes. You got lucky this time. Like always, we will get through things.

watching the news I was wondering "why would anyone even want to live on a beach where you get floods and hurricanes so damn often"
then I watch your videos and see it's not all scary and bad.
mostly scary and bad but there's still some beauty in it and some fun to be had. it also doesn't look like you were hit directly, so glad you were safe and enjoying it.

I think this is the first hurricane I have seen where the damage from the wind is close to the damage done by flooding. Seeing how many buildings got pretty much leveled is crazy. From my experience of watching these over the past 30+ years hurricanes usually cause the most damage from the flooding. I am really surprised at how low the death toll is its currently in the 20's and it will rise but still that low is crazy. Its unfortunate that it killed anyone but riding these out is a gamble.
I used to think people were stupid for staying behind. I live in oklahoma and always thought "If I could get out of the path of a tornado because I had days worth of warnings I would" but as I have gotten older I realize its not that simple. LOTS of the people who die in these cant afford to leave. If I had the same job and same situation but in florida there is no chance I'd be able to leave. 1. My work wouldn't let me. 2. I couldn't afford it. 3. I am stupid and would think "it will turn." Its such a sad reality that we live in a country that puts work over human lives but its just the way our culture is right now but that does seem to be changing.

Next hurricane you should get a massive timelapse of the tide getting sucked out that would be cool, otherwise it’s impressive how fast you got this video edited and uploaded, props to you and Godspeed jack, keep living the dream 🤘
