It was too soon in the season for math, but they forced me into it. Nice of Discovery to give us actual numbers for once, however.

Thanks
Watching your Gold Rush Videos became an important part of my Saturdays in the last years

I love the “contract” that Parker crumpled up. It was like eight sentences double spaced.

2 hour show means 50 min of commercials.
You truly are the man..

I'm Dutch, and I liked Tony for the most part, until last season, and now he got his payback. What goes around comes around. And Dean, maybe he had other things going on in his mind, but I think that it's logical that they both decided to separate. From the start his mindset was, "no can't do that". And he broke down the super conveyor. I mean, that whole situation with the super conveyor was so weird that it looked as if he did it on purpose. While it broke down he knew that something was really wrong with the machine, and he just stood there blaming Parker that he had to work so hard.

Parker might seem like a difficult person, but it is his ass that is on the line, and he manages to reach his goals each and every time, and all the workers are getting payed a decent pay check. I mean, Tony Beets yells at workers who are drinking a cup a coffee after they just spend hours fixing Tony's problems. Parker knows what he is doing, and he knows that it is barely impossible to catch up lost time. Especially when so many other things can go wrong as well.

And I can imagine that Parker has spend 1, 4 million dollars already, but only if you include the purchase from the land and all the other operational costs, like permits, and the traveling, and hauling the equipment, and whatever else what they are doing and that we don't get to see. And who says that the costs from the wages will stay the same all along the season. We never get to see the whole crew. So it might be possible that some people leave later on in the season because they might have done enough work in order to do the rest of the work with a smaller crew.

I am trying to look for a plausible explanation instead of seeking for a conspiracie first.

As you said, small team of normally likeable characters doing as best they can is what we watch for. Not Tony and Parker’s bullshit

Parker finally got to fuck over Tony just like Tony been fucking him over all these years

man, I don't think parker's expenses are going to be a million every week, he needs to spend a lot of money at the beginning of the operation to start, and even parker already said that at the beginning of an operation he spends more, he spent 500 ounces of gold to open the border ditch, an example of this is how to go live in a student republic, the beginning will always be expensive in the matter of furniture but in the end the costs get lower in the following months, surely in the second week parker costs should not pass ten thousand dollars a day, and the first week's costs take everything into account machinery, travel, salary costs, last year's bonus delivery like rick's, besides them buying fuel for a month, the food they buy for whole season so it is more expensive, you have to consider all this, before multiplying the first week, if it were every week in a new apartment that someone bought would be $ 125, 000 a day which is the value of the entrance of the property.

Thank you for watching this so I don't have to! Man Parker is in a downward spiral. He's trying to get too big too fast. He's going to have a heart attack by age 30. Too bad John isn't around still to keep Parker's head out of the clouds.

Your maths are wrong.
Half a mill on wages for the entire season not a week.

Migratory coconuts are a little smaller so the weight ratio isn't an issue for the swallows.

I just hope Rick doesnt go down the Todd Hoffman route watched last weeks and thought oh f**k no, not Rick with (Hoffman Syndrome). Still needs Freddy Dodge and Dave Turin back on it.

so, so far this season

- Rick is on ground no better than last year and and hopes to get double in order to make a 'profit', and with washplant for only a few weeks lease
- Parker is new ground where he somehow has water rights that he didn't have last year but does have this year. No mention of the big Slucifier wash plant that would help him get thru all that paydirt.
- Tony's moved all his equipment to a claim that he abandoned two years ago (due to it being unworthwhile, presumably?)

as for the numbers in costs they add 2 0s to the end to make it more drama induced.

I think the 1.4 million is not from 1 week its from 4 and it has all the startup costs in it like after winter maintenance and. When parker has set up his cuts his costs wil go down by not doing alot of stripping

It's amazing this leased wash plant of Rick's never had a nugget trap while under the owner's care.
