NASB 2020 Thinline - Premier Collection - Gauffered Edges

The Premier Collection from Zondervan (and Thomas Nelson) is in my mind, the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to a premium bible. The goatskin leather cover and cowhide liner are both always excellent. The 36gsm premium European paper…my goodness…it is the best on the market. The pages are so easy to turn. The ComfortPrint font from 2K/DENMARK is among the best and makes even smaller fonts extremely readable.

It has all the extras with nice ribbons, fancy gilding (more on that in a second), perimeter gilt line, perimeter stitching, and raised spine hubs. This one has guaffered edge gilding and it is BEAUTIFUL! If the Primes are out of your price range, this is a nice alternate for about $75 less. I’ll say this again, nothing beats the Premier Collection paper. I preach from one for that reason.

Seeing this and the illustrated Cathlolic NRSV, the future of awesome gilding patterns looks really bright

Fabulous Pastor Tim. No references so not for me but a beauty nonetheless. Bible publishers are really going all out and spoiling us with truly beautiful Bibles. I hope more Bibles with gauffered edges come out. And more zippered Bibles. 😀🥹

That's a nice looking Bible. Zondervan and Thomas Nelson are probably my favorite publishers. As far as red letter vs. black letter, I don't prefer one over the other. I'll read either one.

Beautiful display and leathercraft. Unsure why Zondervans decided to use a small font for this Bible. Majority of pastors / readers I know prefer a 10-11 pt font for readability. (Not all of us are 18 years old anymore). Zondervan's fonts tend to run small as a rule. I ordered an Zondervan NASB 1995 Premier Bible that was advertised as a 10 pt font, but in comparison with other publishers is actually a 9 pt. As a pastor anything less than 10 - 11 pt is a struggle to read from the pulpit - even with the Comfort Print. I was going to order several of these as gifts, but unfortunately decided against it because of the smaller font.

Love the 2 column VBV layout with minimal notes and references. Not as much of a fan of the gauffered edges. Thanks for the review Tim.

Add references and accent color verse numbers and we’ve got a topaz rival.

ANY FONT LESS THAN 10.5 IS A STOP0ER. FOR ME. UP TO 14.

Very nice !! I'm really waiting to see their personal size large print that's coming out on the 15th this month (according to christianbook) .. not in any premier collection at this point but regardless, I hope some reviewer has a copy for review shortly

9 point is waste of time. 12 point minimum for me no w.
