How to OUTRUN the BLUE SHELL in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!

can you outrun a blue shell, or be too fast for a blue shell in mk8dx? as long as you are on 200cc and not 150cc, and neutral drift a lot! you can also dodge it with a mushroom or super horn / boom box!

It sounds like I said "just be fast" but it's not quite the same thing!

We all know SHARP turns are better than WIDE turns. But if you take a sharp turn, your speed will drop and the blue shell will catch you. On a wide turn, you will stay at top speed and outrun the blue shell!

So even though the wide turn is slower overall, maintaining top speed is how you outrun the blue shell.

Interesting fact:

The blie shell has a chance missing you if you are on a map with multiple lanes.

On Yoshi Valley, if you are on 200cc & take the far left route the blue shell will take the more normal route. After a while it will despawn after a bit.

Reminds me of outrunning the blue orb in CTR NF, except in that game it was so slow compared to how fast you got that it wasn't uncommon to see the minimap littered with them. Until they updated it and had them move many times faster.
