What is & and Why do you need a Blower Motor in a Boat.

Why is a and why do you need a blower motor in your boat. What does a blower motor do on your boat. I replaced the blower motor hoses on my boat. Very important! Your boat can explode with out a blower fan.

Bro I’m glad i come across this, i no it’s old but im now looking to get my first boat, im from the uk so summer is now coming to an end so ill be looking through the winter to get one (probably get it slightly cheaper) but kept seeing a button saying “blower” so here i am lol now i no, I take it you run it wen ever your running the engine, cruising or on the throttle

Also for safety:
1) go over all fuel system connections at the start of each season, tighten clamps, check for leaks
2) install a gas fume detector, I put one in my boat about 7 years ago, should be standard on gas inboards....
3) make sure all electrical equipment is J1171 Certified for inboard marine use (starters, alternators, even fuse blocks)

I've got an 06 Chapparal 256 SSI that I bought last year and I had a mechanic tell me to not even worry about using the blower motor and another one told me that I should be using the blower motor anytime I'm driving because it helps keep the engine bay from getting super hot

The way the inlet and outlet hoses of the blower are placed under that mat and right next to each other, it looks like your blower will suck in some of the air that it just blew out, making it less effective and potentially still posing a danger.

As per my views suction hose starting point should be installed highest point of the bilge instead of keeping bottom of the engine because fumes and vapors light in nature due to heat so collected in top of the bilge and inducing air inlet should be bottom of the engine but not together as well outlets should not be kept together it should be away from one another, if it kept together same air go inside one which is exhausted bear with my bad English thank u all

Is there only 1 blower motor in a boat your size? I just a got a similar sized boat and notice there is one blower motor, but there's two vent whole on each side of the engine compartment area, looks like yours had the same. Would it be wise to run a blower on each side of the compartment or is one sufficient? Btw all your videos have been extremely helpful, thank you for posting and being so clear in your posts!

I wonder if the marine one uses stainless steel wire inside the hose support. Nothing worse than rusting steel, causing a brown stain on your gelcoat years later.
