Victory Empulse TT Electric Motorcycle Dyno Run

Nor-Cal Cycles was hosting a Free Dyno Day so I brought over my 2016 Victory Empulse TT. It made about 43WHP on a Dynojet dyno, which is not far off from the spec which is 50HP. Also the first run was done on ECO mode and the 2nd and 3rd pulls were in SPORT mode.

Also these runs were done with about 50% SOC, so supposedly the Empulse was not at it's most powerful state (haha like that play on words?).

Yes, we wait for hyper-drive to kick in - just need streaks of light disappearing to some vanishing point. My Seca II did terribly the one time I dyno'd it, then I fixed the mess Yamaha made of the carburettion, in trying to pass emissions (after much investigation, upped the pilot jet to the #20 instead of #17 or something?). Point is, even my Seca II gives the 50BHP now, and isn't the point of electric bikes the torque? Don't Dyno measure torque these days? Me no understand - there is no way my old Seca could compete with your Empulse, so these tests now, are not measuring the important bit of EV machines I guess.

That’s a crock!!! A dyno only measures torque!!! HP is a mathematical calculation
