I have no free buses, but free channels. Using MOscillator plugin thru Live Professor and gate that same way for a nice 48 Hz sub on kick. Big problem is the wave form does not always align with the drum’s wave form. So, that can lead to some masking. Best would be a gated oscillator utility that can be time aligned with the drum properly.

I used to do this with white noise, in the studio, in the 80s.

I’ve been doing this for a while instead of using a kick out microphone, just the Beta91 inside and this instead of a subkick

He had the kick channel muted at the end.

Thanks for the video man !
I saw this trick before, I was wondering is there a way to make it post fader ? So when we adjust our main kick or snare the trigger will follow

What about “ghost notes” or intentionally light hits? Won’t this defeat the purpose of being dynamic?

This is the sort of thing some EDM producer might think was neat but in live sound? Never in a million years would I do this. Next time just learn to use a compressor.
