Today, I'm sharing my thoughts on new makeup releases and discussing whether or not I plan to purchase them. For me, it's always helpful having an idea of what's coming out so I can plan/budget. I haven't felt incredibly inspired to shop lately but I always love hearing the products you are interested in so be sure to share your thoughts! xx

I've seen Flower Beauty (Drew Barrymore) at Ulta. I'm not so enthused about celebrity makeup brands. I'm sticking with Estee Lauder, Guerlain and Chanel. I intended to build up my Chanel collection but became distracted with Guerlain.

Loving the back drop. I don’t generally care for celebrity launches I feel the hype is all based around the person and not the quality of the products them selves.

My Dior Beauty SA sent me pics of the holiday collection and it’s beautiful! Similar to last year but with a star design ⭐️ I’ll definitely get a few of the palettes 🤗

You made such a good point about the Byredo makeup launch! Their packaging is always so clean and minimalistic but the promo looks wild and so high fashion. Maybe the point of this promo photo is to get us talking?

Zero interest in celebrity makeup lines. It just seems opportunistic. Also, they obviously do not have their own labs and production, so who is manufacturing it?🤔

Chantecaille’s launch was the one that caught my eye this time around. I preorder earlier this week because nude lipsticks get me every time. 💕💕 Upcoming holiday collections will probably be on my radar as well. So quite a few other things releasing between now and then may get passed over for sure.

Dear Erin, I do really appreciate your honesty and your attitude. I spend really much money on skincare first and make up. Specially for the former, I want to know that I am paying for the serious lab research behind the products I wear on my face or body. Mid September when I will (unfortunately) stop going to the sea (I live in Leghorn Tuscany and am very attracted to sea and sun) I will start using the Sublimage treatment which I hope will be worth the money. That's the reason why I am not attracted at all by celeb newly born make up lines. Nothing against them. But I stick to my favorite brands (Chanel, Dior, Guerlain and few more) . For the fall I have ordered the Chanel collection and I am excited to wear the softer eyeshadow palette, the two eyeliners and the brownish lipsticks. Please forgive the length of this comment. 🥰

We have a store in Virginia called Dillards that has all the new Dior quints and they are stunning. I picked up Soft Cashmere and Nude Dress. You can see by looking at them that the formula has changed and they are beautiful. Victoria Beckham recommends- the priming moisturizer, the eyeliners and the latest eyeshadow palette in Silk.

I love seeing all the new things coming out but the Chantecaille collection stands out for me. I’m more of a collector of the new collections so they get me everytime. Not really interested in celebrity lines except I do I have Victoria Beckham eyeshadow & eye pencil & really like it. Your makeup looks beautiful as always & I love your glitter background !!

Great video Erin! I appreciate your honesty. What I’m looking forward to: Chanel holiday and Lisa Eldridge lipsticks. I think companies have done it all, or nearly all, already!
Well I know that’s not true, but sometimes it seems so, because so often, it’s more of the same.
I imagine how difficult it would be to create something truly new, innovative, and interesting. Only the best creative minds can figure out how to ‘wow’ us next!
Two ideas I’m obsessed with:
Finding a dupe for Tom Ford’s “White suede” quad among the Dior quints. And second, what will Lucia Pica do next? I find her fascinating.
My desire to actually purchase has diminished, I’m becoming more selective in how I want to spend my money. (But yet my makeup collection continues to grow!)
