Best part is, using vats counts as standing still regardless of I'd it's long range sniping or melee. Basically makes melee vats builds unstoppable

Martyr and bolstering pair well with the Nerd Rage perk as well btw, with all those things if you fall below 20% health you basically become an unstoppable force.

Honestly you become nearly unkillable just by playing stealth, get those sneak and sneak damage perks, stay crouched and you are good to go;
Suddenly nobody attacks you and you deal 3 times as much damage.

Become unkillable in 3 easy steps
1. Press the ~ key on your keyboard, this opens console commands
2. Type tgm in the command bar, this activates god mode. You will not take any damage and neither will your equipment.
3. Explore the wasteland without having to worry about taking damage or taking radiation!

I had 4 of them so I had 100% when not moving. Everything would runaway until I moved an inch.

You can also get the unique hook melee weapon from an old lady in Far Harbour for doing her quests which also decreases the incoming damage while standing still by 15%. This and the full armor set with this effect will give you 105% damage reduction, and so make you invulnerable

My main character is so high level he’s already Unkillable

My level 191 sole survivor doesn't even have to wear armor anymore, he just does for the 'drip' effect

If you can somehow manage to stack it all the way to or past 100%, most enemies will run away rather than attack.
