I got it backwards - Keith - plays the lead here, and Brian plays the rhythm. Keith plays his part on his Gibson Hummingbird, fitted with nylon strings I believe.

The capo on the record is two frets further down (towards the head). You can tell because the g# chord sounds the low g# in the intro. Good effort here nonetheless. I am in the process of covering this song myself.

Edit: Just to expand on this: the G shape chord he plays in this tutorial is an A shape chord on the record. Keith (or Bryan) then plays the higher note in the chord by reaching the pinkie over to the fifth fret from the capo. The A shape chord he plays here is an A shape moved up two frets on the record, and he does the same fingering for that chord as well, but with only the bottom 4 strings. Just to round out the chords in the song: the d shape in this video is an e shape on the record (that is the G# major chord I mentioned), and lastly the c shape becomes a d shape. I find the song easier to play if the guitar is detuned a whole step, making the fret spacing easier for the pinkie embellishments. With my guitar detuned, my capo is at the same fret as this video, which had me confused when I first loaded up this video to see how others were playing it.
