This option D keeps throwing me for a loop cause it requires me to actually know what’s going on instead of just being blindly lucky 😢

Important note, an egg sinks in water... unless it is rotten. The air sac increases as it goes rancid. An egg that stands but stays at the bottom is still good to eat, but won't be for long. If it floats to the top, trash it

Floating or sinking eggs is actually a good way to tell if they've gone bad. When they start to break down, gasses build up inside that cause the egg to float

I knew the egg one was wrong mostly because of an old college humor sketch where Zac was filming a cooking show with the little food in his fridge, and he explained the “good eggs sink, bad eggs float” way to check if your eggs are rotten. His eggs were floating, and he kept trying to shove them down into the water. It’s stuck with me for years :)

Knowing the "rotten egg" tip is what got me through this one

For the gummy bear one:

I actually did an experiment with this for a science project.
If you put a clear gummy bear in any drink with coloring it will turn into a somewhat different color. And when I put a gummy bear in milk (put it in the fridge so it didn’t spoil since it was left out there for a week) it was the biggest out of all my gummy bears. I also did the same with orbeeze! Very fun and simple for a science project! Will recommend

Eggs also float or sink depending on how old they are. The freshest eggs will sit on the bottom but just barely. As the egg gets older, the air pocket gets bigger and it starts to float

As a chemistry student I am super embarrassed that I thought the cabbage one was fake.

I like how in the gummy bear one it slips out of your hand at the end

Called it! Rotten eggs float while good eggs sink, there is no middle ground😊

Man, learning density and doing a lab on density from my chemistry class actually paid off 😌

This is the first time I have actually observed all 3 situations myself so I KNEW it was the egg rather than just making an educated guess

Everybody did the cabbage one in school

I assumed you got the perfect egg as it does (even if it is just briefly) pass trough this phase of floating in the process of rotting

I remember reading about the red cabbage in a kids magazine.
It's true.

the red cabage is actually the reason why it has 2 different names in german based on the region, in the northern-ISH half 'rot kohl' (translated as 'red cabbage') is more common, in the eastern-ISH half 'blau kraut' (i dont think theres a good translation for 'kraut' but it refers to plants/roots/herbs and 'blau' means blue so its translated as 'blue root/plant/herb') that is because in the north their cooking is more accidic in nature, and in the south its more basic

I was so sure you just bought some giant gummy bears for that last 1.
