My guess on 'passive dribbles' is that if you are a PG on 5v5 waiting for your teammates to go to their respective spotson the court, instead of staying still in front of the defender, you just dribble the ball passively so that you can be more unpredictable when you're gonna actually start to dribble. Personally I like the idea but I am not confident that this is gonna work as my main concern is you gonna get the ball taken off of you by some random lock ..

2k devs slowly been moving towards NBA Live game mechanics bit by bit each year. This contest system sounds EXACTLY like the contest system from NBA Live 19. And if you know about the shooting on nba live you can contest with your hands up and if you don’t jump…..it’s green!

The ambient passive dribbling is basically while you standing still and your myplayer is dribbling instead of just pounding the ball with 1 hand while being stationary your player will now do random things like take the ball in between his legs by himself while you stationary waiting for a man to cut or something from what I got from the explanation of this video

The “ambient” crossovers just means, if you are just standing there dribbling with the ball in your left hand, for example, and the defender approaches your left side, the game will automatically make you switch ball hand with a crossover dribble. Only confusing if you over think it. He saying if you dont mind the ball being exposed because you have the ball in the hand you prefer, then you will have to disable that setting. Sucks that they include the new features to be enabled automatically from jump.

As long as hands up defense actually gets stops this year then we should be good we all know hands up defense did not work that well

Sounds like the ambient hand switches means when you’re standing there, the ball handler will dribble left to right so the defender can’t just pluck you while you’re standing there. The dribbles will be based on how the defender is playing you, just my thought

All the ambient cross thing means is that when you’re chilling near halfcourt as a Point Guard waiting for ai teammates to do their playart, instead of just standing there still like a bum, with that feature turned on, your player will now do crosses without you having to input anything.
