Thank god they fixed it honestly, for regular players who just want to play public match it was terrible on bo3 because when people went down they would just automatically quit at round 7 because they are absolute bots. It would leave us with 2 or 3 players and make it less entertaining… as you said I really do hope that they have a good way and not tedious way of getting gobblegums.

fixing the close app gum glitch is a good thing, people have been accustomed to run op gums every match cus of this and this is not how it’s supposed to be and that’s a good change

Ngl I hated people who close application on bo3 because you could never truly finish the game people just quit out when the game looked over. I have the issue mostly with public matches but it just always bothered me if someone did this method you could never get the chance to to have a cool comeback or truly see the game through. I can understand if you bought gums but I never have and usually just used classic gums because I thought it felt too op to use mega gums in bo3 specifically I think bo4 had a good balance but that’s just me. I personally don’t care if you can’t close application I just want a good fair earn rate with the same rate you use the gums.

If zombies has a focus on operator players that lack personality and round based zombies feels incredibly lackluster because theyre focused on another outbreak mode or br tie in, I'm refunding.

In my opinion, the reason why the perpetual online only model is the worst for the game, is because it negatively impacts the games lifespan. You have to look at the longevity of the games. I will forever be able to boot up Call of Duty: Black Ops on my Xbox 360 until the disk breaks or my hard drive fails. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 however could be yanked away at any given moment due to the sole fact it is ONLINE ONLY. There has to be some server somewhere, constantly costing someone money the longer it gets ran. Once that server inevitably shuts down, you will no longer be able to play the game because you have to connect to that server, even to play offline/solo experiences. Even the campaign will no longer be accessible.

I understand why they would remove the gobblegum dashboard "feature". While the community might have coined it to be a "feature", it is a game bug at the end of the day, that is not intended to be in the game in the first place. That's probably why they experimented and tried something else with Black Ops 4, whereas your elixirs get used instantly.

Hot take: people didn’t like gobble gums in BO3 zombies; they just liked closing application to keep them. Public matches were completely ruined in BO3.

I love this idea. Take away the incentive to close the app in the middle of the game online. Hosts ending the game because they go down sucks.

Also a Reminder: Trashing Cold War & Comparing it to bo3 makes no sense. Comparing a damn near perfect game to a game that was made during a pandemic with very little time to make is unfair.

honestly i would like to see the mwz schematic mechanic for gobblegums. you unlock them somehow and then can use them every 48 hours but can still stack them

Gobblegums does not mean Monty is coming back. Everything except Primis and Ultimis went into the dark aether at the end of Tag, that includes the gobblegum machine. I think people are forgetting that the perk machines were pulled from the dark aether in the new storyline and the perks were from Monty as well.

I know Monty didn't make the perks originally (it was group 935 and other adjacent groups) but he put them on all of the maps and are linked to him in a similar way to the gobblegums.

The whole dashboarding to save gobblegums was just an oversight. BO3 you got it by just opening doors or buying stuff and almost every week was double liquid divinium. Still is double LD today. Just played a little bit ago.
