Albert van der Hoeven (1963) studied organ en piano at the conservatories of Utrecht and Zwolle, The Netherlands, and Paris, France and obtained his teaching qualification (DM/Docent) and his diploma Performing Musician (UM/Master) for organ. Several private funds enabled him to continue his study in Paris. He attended courses in interpretation with Daniel Roth (St. Sulpice). Subsequently, he continued his studies at the Schola Cantorum and the Conservatoire National with Marie Louise Jaquet-Langlais. After three years of study he gained respectively the 'Prix de Virtuosité', the 'Premier Prix ' (Medaille d'Or) and the 'Prix de Perfectionnement'. Nowadays, Albert van der Hoeven enjoys a national reputation as concert organist, and teacher for organ and piano. In 2004, the académique Société Francaise ' Arts, Sciences, Lettres ' Paris awarded Albert van der Hoeven the Silver Medal (Diplôme de Medaille d 'Argent) , for his services for French organ culture.
