A computer scientist/physicist absolutely at the top of his game and an interviewer absolutely at the top of his game. Thank you. Just a pleasure to hear such good questions presented to Stephen and listening to him answer. Kurt, it's clear that you are putting the work in for us all at home to sit back and enjoy such great conversation

The genius of our time.

It's a real privilege to listen to Stephen Wolfram jump human knowledge ahead in real time.

At first I didn't understand what he was saying... Then I took a bong hit.

Stellar conversation gentlemen! This one deserves a couple of rewatches. I found this on my youtube feed after hours of scrolling through r/lawofone and it feels like Stephen is converging to some of the ideas that Ra/Kabbalah/Hermetic traditions/Gnosticism/Advaita Vedanta have been talking about from a spiritual perspective. I feel optimistic about finally reconciling the science-spirituality divide thanks to the work of geniuses like Wolfram. For me the ideas that resonate most are: continuum of time being a false perception, discretization of space, his take on consciousness, observers.

Wolfram is a master mechanic that knows exactly what he knows, knows what he doesn't know, knows what he's likely to know and has grown from what he thought he knew. He's mastered these disciplines enough to be a leader among younger, smarter, students, his broad, deep knowledge, coupled with his knowledge of AI and computer programming has made him a egoless phenom. With all the technology that exist, i would love to see this information disseminated via some amazing visual aids, animations, any way to easily translate these complex insights into palatable meals for greedy consumption. Maybe I will learn to code in his language, some kind of immersion into the Wolfram.

I like toying with the idea that our consciousness is surfing the rouliad, branching and merging with infinite possibilities . Always love listening to Stephen’s work . Even if his theory isn’t correct, it’s a good tool for modelling physics .

Fascinating interview!
I’d sure like to have Prof. Wolfram & Donald Hoffman, discussing their research. 🖖✨

Thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Stephen is in his own right an outstanding genius whose work is bound to revolutionize not only physics but perhaps the way we think about the world as a whole.
On the other hand, Curt has reached a level of maturity and knowledgeableness as an interviewer that's truly awe-inspiring for those of us who have been following the channel for a while. Kudos to both!

I love listening to this man. It makes my brain think about what he said for weeks after I watch long interview with him. His theory is kinda beautiful

Seen many Stephen interviews where he's been allowed free reign to ramble (in a nice way) but here you asked many questions which made him pause and think hard before responding (as he alluded to at the end).
Have subscribed and will be checking out your other interviews.

What truly incredible is his ability to hammer it home for those of us not verst in the mathematics.

We're so lucky to be alive at a time where such information is available...thank you TOE

A true theorist, one of the few who does honest research of physics of our age. What a pleasure to be able to listen to him, iterate his thoughts in this format - well done Curt
