I believe the vita version is much better in terms of controls, updates, additional content, multiplayer, graphics, render distance.

Minecraft could've actually been playable on the regular version because you can use the A B X & Y buttons for camera movement and access inventory and crafting via the touch screen. And there will be no buttons for changing your hotbar cause that'll be accessed via the touch screen aswell. The only iffy part would be the jumping. I think that there will be no jump button but auto jump feature or there is a jump button on the touch screen. That's just my idea.

It is very nice of you to give a review on whether or not Minecraft on 3DS is worth the money or not. I am very glad you went for an objective approach and compared it to other platforms without going "OH THIS SUCKS DON'T BUY THIS ONE!" like how most ungrateful kids would say. You did a good job of reviewing in a professional manner in my opinion.
