It is just about the warranty period. Once you cross the warranty period it is never a good idea to get repair from service center. Their repair cost goes several times up. Issues rarely come within warranty so I personally don't care much about it as long as the brand is reputed. Personally I have seen people more frequently facing issues with Dell and HP which offer comparatively better service in India.
