Bow hairs will break while playing depending on how vigorous that person is playing. It's why string players will have more than one bow in their case.

Its horsehair on the bows. Depending on what and how you are playing it breaks. Simple classic music it lasts forever. Hard like this, Metallica, AD/DC etc. It alot.... (I payed cello for almost 10 years) Orchestra....not band... and the ship is going to the right... drink up me hearties yo ho.

When I saw them play they would pull the threads off and give them to fans waiting at the front of the stage, and sometimes the threads get caught, they are an exciting act to watch.They come from musical families Luka started learning at 5yrs old and Stjepan started at 8 yrs old, they won a lot of prestigious accolade in the Classical, which they love, but they got drunk one night and played smooth criminal, it was not very good but the next day or so they tried again and they uploaded to YouTube, and Elton John got in touch with them, and they toured with him for two years,

The hairs on the bow break from vigourous playing but there's hundreds on a bow at a time so you just replace them when you're done playing, and side note the cello is in orchestra all string instruments is orchestra and band is all the other instruments, I was in orchestra

If you mean the hairs on the bow they use to draw across the strings on the cellos. The bows have 150-200 horse hairs on the bow for a cello. With their much more active playing, the hairs break more often.

The bow has horse hair, and they put rosin on it to make it vibrate the strings. The harder you press down, the more volume you get, but it starts to break the hairs throughout the song

I rehair my bow once a year. All bows need to be rehaired periodically, but they are extra tough on their bows, so they have theirs rehaired constantly! The harder you play, the sooner the horsehairs break, and the sooner you need to have your bow rehaired!

Was great seeing your reaction. I enjoy your personality. Two cellos are nothing less than brilliant! This was one of the first videos of theirs that I watched....blown away by their energy dynamics, humour galore, and absolute skill. The speed they are playing at is incredible and as for the pair of pirates stole our hearts with their music and took off to sea and probably stashed them in Davey Jones locker....

I think the hairs on the bow in the beginning were for looks but as they play they always break off more hair because of how intense they play. They probably have a whole collection of bows for every song they do LoL

I think the way they strum or whatever breaks the bows
