About this video: Our goal is to make the best Minecraft tutorials out there, and in this video, we set out to teach you how to download and install shaders on Minecraft 1.18 for PC. By the end of this video, we want you to have Minecraft Shaders 1.18 installed and activated. So, without any more delay, let’s jump right on into it.

Minecraft shaders for 1.18 is basically made up of two separate parts. Part one is a shaders pack. This is the shaders themselves and what makes different shaders look different from one another. Part two is Optifine. Optifine is what runs the shaders packs.

The first part of getting shaders is learning how to download a shaders packs for Minecraft 1.18. There are hundreds of different shaders packs out there. However, we have a list in the description above to the top 5 best shaders packs that are currently available in Minecraft 1.18. No matter which one of these shaders packs you go with, you will have an incredible experience. In this specific video though, we show you how to install BSL and Continuum. This video will work for any 1.18 shaders pack though. If your download your shaders from our website though, just click the green download button. It will the take you to that shader pack’s official download page where you can download it.

Once you have your shaders pack downloaded, we can move on to how to download and install Optifine for shaders in Minecraft 1.18! You can find a link to our Optifine 1.18 tutorial in the description above. Once you are there, scroll download and click the green Optifine download link. On Optifine's website click the mirror link next to the Optifine 1.18 version. Then, click the purple download button on the next page. Optifine for shaders 1.18 will then download. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.

Now, you can install Optifine for Shaders 1.18. To do this, double click on the Optifine installer you downloaded. You may need to download Java to do this. You can find the tutorial for that in the description above. When the Optifine 1.18 installer opens, click on the install button. Optifine will then install for Minecraft 1.18!

Finally, we can open up the Minecraft launcher, click the arrow next to the play button and select Optifine. Then click play, and click Play again on the pop-up. It is now time to learn how to install shaders on Minecraft PC 1.18!

To install shaders, click on 'Options' from the Minecraft main menu. Then, click on 'Video Settings'. Next, click the 'Shaders' button. This will open up the Optifine shaders section. Now, click 'Shaders Folder' in the bottom right of the shaders section. This will open your shaderspacks folder. Now, drag-and-drop the Minecraft 1.18 Shaders Packs you downloaded into this folder.

When you go back to Minecraft 1.18, you will see the shaders packs. Click on them and click 'Done' to activate shaders in Minecraft 1.18! You can now go in-game and enjoy Shaders! However, there are additional shaders options in the bottom right of the shaders section. This can be good for fine tuning shaders. The shaders section can also be accessed in-game allowing for the easy changing of options and shaders packs!
