What's It Like To RIDE A 300CC Swapped HONDA GROM?

My first day actually taking Dom the Grom out for a ride was exhilarating. Lunch, Hoovies Garage, the Underground Racing Twin Turbo Lamborghini Huracan, a Nissan GT-R, super bikes, and one quick little Grom can all be found in this video. When the 300cc was being swapped into the bike a Power Commander FC was added as DynoJet does not list a Power Commander V application for the Honda CBR300R. Now I need a map or a dyno tune and I'm having a hard time finding anyone who can actually answer my questions about this.

I had a grom and it was fun for a while but after the novelty factor wore off I was wondering what I could change to have fun again. The answer is dropping a bunch of money into the engine or finding other mini bike buddies to ride with. Neither of these happened and I sold it. But your video confirmed a suspicion I had. The chassis is capable of handling 3 times the stock power without being unstable (apparently) so it's no wonder the stock power plant feels gutless. Great video.

The problem is the intake manifold. Your fuel won’t atomize correctly with the injector being around a bend in the intake. Chimera sells a better manifold.

At 6:20 when you say "I need whatever that is" about the van. That is a Mitsubishi summit/expo mini van that you can 4g63 head swap onto the 4g64 block that most come with. Also to note they made AWD version of that van

Hey you can get the power commander auto tune that will plug right into your power commander module. Just weld in an exhaust sensor then plug it in.

Did the tune help? I had heard these have a tough time idling because there is a 90 degree bend on the intake manifold to clear the frame. This causes the fuel to pool and it's very difficult to tune out... Or that was just a ploy to get me to buy a modified frame to accommodate a 250/300 motor...

Nothing is more fun and prideful than riding a originally small displacement motorcycle swapped with a high displacement engine. 😂 It’s just so fun when you make a small bike specs go out of wack for the sake of being small and fast.
