Research Infrastructures in the Next Framework Programme: Revised role, Approaches and Strategies

The increased focus to innovation and sustainability in Horizon Europe calls the whole European R&I system to revise R&I strategies approaches and instruments. This is also the case for the Research Infrastructures that, as also reported in the relaunched ERA strategy, they are asked to expand their access and services to EU companies with a view to contribute to the capability of Europe to generate innovation. Existing Research Infrastructures are also going to be complemented by an organised system of Innovation Hubs organised by clustering regional ones and providing them with a European dimension.

How is the new framework expected to evolve? How will existing R&I manage the required change? What kind of changes in the future approach for the creation of new R&I can we expect?

In this appointment with “One Hour of Europe” webinar series, we will host Roberta Zobbi – Deputy Head of Unit Research & Industrial Infrastructures DG RTD. She will provide us with a presentation of the revised strategy and related approach for R&I in the upcoming Horizon Europe Framework Programme and will answer questions from the attendees.
