WSU's Nadia Cooper was named both the Pac-12 Goalie of the Year and Freshman of the Year on Friday, and, in a way, she laughed her way to both honors. Cooper took over for the Cougs in goal five games into the season and never left. She’s only allowed eight goals this year, which is the third-best mark in the NCAA.

September 2021 was supposed to be an exciting time for Nadia. She was beginning her freshman year at WSU and had her first start for the Cougs on Sept. 12. However, it also began one of the most difficult experiences of her life. Caroline Cooper, Nadia's mother, contracted COVID-19 and pneumonia and was hospitalized. Caroline died nearly one month later.

Nadia you are such an AMAZING young lady and I commend you on your strength. Your mother talked about you all the time on how proud she was of you and I know she is smiling from ear to ear! She is with you daily, she is your guardian angel. Your Mother was a great person, great mother, wife, friend she was AWESOME and she loved her family so much!!! I am so sorry for your loss and I pray for much love, strength and peace for the Cooper family! I look forward to seeing you on TV me and my family will be rooting for you always!

WSU teaches that there is something inherently bad and wrong with students based on their physical appearance categories. I contacted the Dean of Students Office about this and the Dean slammed the phone on me. I guess they don't want to talk about it. Instructors at WSU teach that some students are spiritually damaged according to how they look physically... how is that career relevant? The instructors teach that Caucasian students are spiritually damaged monsters and students should connect these concepts to their personal identity. Kirk Schulz has nothing to say about it. The school is silent.
