The ending with Judd walking on the field is one of the most iconic endings in a film...ever! Not to mention to an iconic song! This movie makes me miss the 80's!

The Breakfast Club is dated only by cloths, hair styles and music but the theme never grows old.

I guess every kid thinks they grew up in the best era ever, but damn, as a teen of the 80's fondly looking back, our decade really was the best ;)

Dear Mr. Vernon:

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong, but we think you’re crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us… In the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain… …and an athlete… …and a basket case… …a princess… …and a criminal.

Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.

This was a poorly supervised detention.

I’m 63 years old and whenever I run across this movie I’m glued to the TV...because it takes me back to high school and the best times of my life.

If I was guessing I've seen this movie over 200 plus times since 1985, and it never gets old folks. In my opinion, the 80s was the best decade for music and movies bar none. I could easily go back to that period and never leave again, it was that awesome!!!

Ah yes, the high school drama, which you remember when you get old, and realize what you thought was important, wasn't even a ripple in a pond, nothing but memories, followed by regrets, the regrets always caused by fear of what others would think at the time, yeah, you miss out on really living due to what someone might say. Trying to be popular, you miss out on whats important, what you are there for, learning, so you will be ready when you graduate, and set out into the world.
Good movie, I love that song, can see it like it was yesterday when I close my eyes while listening to it.

John Hughes should have earned an Oscar for his masterpieces. (He had only 2 awards)

This song and Everybody Wants to Rule the World are perhaps the most instantly iconic 80s songs ever. Any others come to mind?
