Analysis: The effectiveness of Israel's Iron Dome against Iran's latest missile barrage

Security and Defence analyst Michael Clarke has examined the effectiveness of Israel’s Iron Dome after Iran launched a barrage of missiles towards the nation.

Mr Clarke spoke to Sky News UK about the unfolding events and the work of the Iron Dome to intercept missile fire.

Iran has launched almost 200 ballistic missiles into Israel in a major escalation of the Middle East conflict.

Sirens were heard across the country as residents headed for bomb shelters.

Israel’s Iron Dome defence system was able to intercept most missiles; however, some were able to get through and land near Tel Aviv.
