Tip to prolong starter life. Turn the key to accessory and wait 5 seconds until you hear the fuel pump finish priming. Then turn to start. Starts will be much quicker. (Bought my Firebird brand new in 1988. It’s out in the garage right now. Only 330, 000 miles =:)

My brother had a 1986 IROC Z in "Arrest Me Red". We would take the T tops off and cruise across Cape Cod. So many great memories of my big brother and this car. He passed away in '91. Thanks for this!

back in 85 i had 85 iroc 5.0L tpi in 1987 the 5.7 came out i traded my 5.0 for the 5.7L i loved that car and still is my all time favorite...

Very nice. I had a 85 Camaro z28 with the 305. I put the iroc 16’ wheels and quicker steering box. Was very reliable. Then I upgraded to the big guns. The 88 firebird formula 350 with the l98 350 ws6 suspension package. What a difference. I love those f-bodies. This was back in the early 90’s.

We all loved those old IROC's and Z's, they were an absolute blast to cruise. The honest truth was they were typically lacking in the throttle area unless you did some under the hood changing. Montley Crew, Poison, AC/DC, Aerosmith cruise machines😂.
