I've never been interested in listening to Immolation until last year when I saw them kill it at Decibel Metal & Beer Fest in Philly. Ross Dolan was a great frontman, and the songs were definitely catchy enough. So I think I'll definitely try out this new album.

agreed. I really like immolation and this album is basically what everyone wanted. I do think for the next album they need to change things up a bit more. Kind of like the change between failures for gods and close to a world below, you know. They have a winning formula which is clear to see on the record since it's about as consistence as it can be. But I do want bands to experiment every now and then.

All of those old school-death bands I have listened, Immolation is a band that´s totally went over from me. They have a great sound, so maybe I have to check all of their discography next.

I'm seeing Immolation with Imperial Triumphant and Mortiferum here in PDX March 5th and I hadn't heard any Immolation so I listened to Atonement and was PUMPED. And dude that Mortiferum album from last year is some premium swampy disgusting gold.

Old school death metal is great. Modern death metal is great. The new immolation album kicks ass. Life is pretty damn good 🤘

It's a good album, not really anything more but still no less. Honestly, its consistency across the whole album is probably my favourite point about it. Considering that this is their longest album they've released, I thought it did a pretty great job in never sounding boring. It doesn't reach the heights of their more original material for me, but it's still a chunky slab of classic death metal goodness that's hard to turn away from.

I count "Unholy Cult" as the last of their *classic* albums (although I don't think they have a single bad album) haha. Brilliant review as usual nonetheless. Die hard fan of the band since 2002 and the new album far exceeded my expectations.

This band love what they do, and they give their fans what they want always, like CC (although in my opinion Immolation have more class and their composition and song writing is more superb).

Maybe the sin of this specific record is how jam-packed it is without any break whatsoever, I admit it can be overwhelming.

Without even listening to the new album yet. I have a dispute. My fist question Are you a musician? Probably not. Seeing how you placed Kingdom of Conspiracy over Unholy Cult. It's one of their best albums. Basically a continuation of Close to a world below. With that being said. You seem to me as a Korn, Slipknot kid that got sent to College and learned some big words. Us old guys that dropped out of High School will still outwit you!

Immolation are just so consistent. This album is good but I still think the previous 3 albums are better. Majesty and Decay is my favorite Immolation album but they never disappoint.

Immolation is one of my favorite metal bands. I enjoy all of their albums pretty much. Immolation is definitely being predictable……….. but in a very good way. Atonement was one of my favorite albums the year that was released. This is Atonement but maybe not quite as good but definitely a 4/5 from me.

Um sorry, Death Metal? In 2022? Nope, hard pass. Chris Barnes told me everything i need to know about Death Metal and i rather listen to a legend like him who obviously knows what he's talking about than YouTubers with no experience on the "Biz" who only follow trends and say this band and this other band it's what the genre needs. Now back to listen to the first four Cannibal Corpse albums and the first three Six Feet Under albums...

That fucking hurt to write. This album is amazing, currently on my third listening. Immolation never fails to deliver the blasphemous goods.
