The opposition contender in the Democratic Republic of Congo's December presidential elections, Martin Fayulu, has called for peaceful protests. The protests come as the constitutional court upheld the victory of opposition candidate Felix Tshisekedi. Fayulu earlier argued that Tshisekedi had made a power-sharing deal with outgoing President Joseph Kabila. Tshisekedi's team denies this. He is due to be sworn in within the next ten days. Despite the court ruling, Fayulu says he is the legitimate president. He has urged the international community not to recognise the official election results.
