I feel 23 dominance is something that will be talk about for a long time, unlike 24 or 22. 21 as well is a banger, the new kid challenging the old guard with both at their peak was just chefs kiss.

2021 was probably the most difficult/stressful F1 championship/season you can possibly have... specially in terms of pressure, yet Max delivered.

I can only imagine what Lando or really any other driver would have done to Lewis with that 2021 Red Bull ( exactly. absolutely nothing. )

Compared to 2021 the "fight" against Lando this year wasn't really ever a contest and if people say otherwise they're really just hyping it up for no reason...

24 may’ve not been his hardest in terms of comp., but it showcased the gulf between him & “could win a WDC in the right car” types more than any other season (e.g., drivers like LN, OP, GR, CS, etc.) CL for me exists between that category of driver and MV, FA, LH tier.

You can blame him for Mexico '24 but that actually prevented a Norris win and made it a net worth profit in points. THAT's the mentality you really need for a WDC title and haters seem to forget that. Nice guys finish last.

Like GP said, Max is getting better every year, which is really scary bc of how good he is already. 2024 showed Max has almost no equal at this moment in time. Lewis is very inconsistent, Alonso is fed up, Charles is buckling even under inter-team pressure, etc. etc.

Still complaining about 2021? Max had most poles, wins, laps led. Tyre burst in Baku, Bottas went bowling. Lewis put him in hospital. Lewis got a lap back (for some reason) after putting it in the gravel in Imola. Yas Marina was crazy but I don't understand how any objective viewer could say Lewis deserved the championship.

2021 is still undoubtedly his best title, everyone is fixated on Abu Dhabi but for that WHOLE season Max (and Lewis) was on another level, they pushed eachother to their limits and both had their moments of not being 100% fair on track. This 2024 championship is also up there but this year’s title also shows how weak the competition is if it is not Max, Alonso or Lewis challenging

I think the incidents in Mexico/Austria this year, which you are referring to as ‘bad driving’, are deliberate. Max himself admitted that in his interview on the F1 channel after Vegas.

Of course, those moments can be frustrating as a fan but I don’t consider them mistakes. It doesn’t take anything from Max’s technical skills as a driver. Is it dirty driving? Yep to prevent his rivals from gaining points

As SLH fan, 2021 season belonged to Max. Going toe to toe with SLH is more difficult than any other driver on the current grid. AD21 was FIA’s mess which Max capitalised upon. It takes sheer grit and nerves to overtake and keep the position in the last lap against a fierce HAM.

So many points lost through no fault of his own, the car dropping off at the end and such clutch moments like sochi and hungary when it looked like it could run away from him. Meanwhile hamilton fumbled baku, was nowhere in monaco and came so close to a disaster in imola before the red flag.

#3 2024 a well executed championship reminiscent of Prost.
