I don't know much about consciousness. But this is just a God of the Gaps fallacy. As a Catholic, I think this approach is corroding to faith and shouldn't be used.

Why can't natural explainations account for uniqueness? Evolution produced all the unique creatures on the planet. Gravity produced most of the unique elements on the periodic table. Seems like a lot of uniqueness to me.

This is the worst syllogism I have ever heard. It is nether sound or valid. You have to fail hard to lose on both counts.

Consciousness is explained as a product of brain function. Premises 3-5 are all ridiculous. Even if your premises made any sense, assuming supernatural is unwarranted.
