The cow tried to call 911! 🤣The bike pigs are not very nice. Great flat camp spot by the silo. Parts of the trail could use some serious maintenance. Good call with foot issues. Nice that you and your brother can get some hikes in together.

That was a beautiful stretch. I loved when you were at that grain place set up for the night and that sunset was amazing. And that bridge was probably even better than the last one with the old wood, LOL. That sounds like a rough road walk for sure. Very gracious with the gentlemen's wife that drove you into Paris. Great accomplishment for both of you and trail magic is always out there!

Excellent part 2... The only thing that would get me on the rail trails is the seemingly endless straight away sections . Quite an adventure on a, not exactly, maintained trail.. Meeting helpful people on a long trail is a wonderful thing..

I understand about the road walking doing a number on the feet. I have back problems and try to avoid them as much as possible. Thank you for sharing your adventure.

I guess finding your way through the bushes made a change to always going straight forward. The bridge weren't in the best conditions...
Was there water on trail?
Going through towns has it advantages!
Road walk is always a pain! Too bad you didn't make it to Paris...
