My mother in-law, puts tons of Bonemeal in her garden compost. Thanks for your commentary & good advice! May God continue to bless your beautiful family & life! ☺️

We dug holes in our garden in the fall and buried the remains of fish that we had caught throughout the year. We covered it up and in the spring time, saw the difference in our vegetables! Everything was healthier because of the natural fish fertilizer. We kept bags in the freezer of everything left over from skinny and deboning fish. Of course we did live in the Puget Sound at that time.

I would always have some blood left in our packages of grass-fed beef and I started to wonder: What would happen if I just tipped those couple of tablespoons into my watering cans for the garden?

With money tight for lots of people I hate to waste any nutrition I can safely recycle.

Thanks so much for touching on this subject!

Consider Bocashi its a Japanese fermentation process, odour free composting of raw meat dairy and cooked food, bones, produces a liquid fertiliser and the remaining solid waste can safely be added to ordinary compost.

Scripture states to dispose of blood relatively the same way we do our fecal matter. It naturally feeds the ground, so composting it makes sense. It’s the same process.

Yes! We dilute blood and put it right in the garden at the base of plants. If it coagulates, let it dry and then crumble it for your own blood meal. Or add it to your compost. 👍🏼

Menstrual blood. Add that to your garden if you use a cup it’s easy. Zero waste periods. It’s the way to go ladies!

My dog always digs where I put bone or blood meal in the garden. It's very annoying

Some women give their menstrual blood to the garden. Yep. I was a little surprised as I thought you were going to discuss that 😅

I have used a SMALL amount of blood diluted and always put on plants for almost ever. Think about the tiny amount of blood from a rooster or a mess of squirrels. What I soaked the bodies in? Yup. Pour it on plants. Very rarely might detect a smell in summer but not really decay more like stale for a bit but as soon as more water or a rain, it's fine. If someone is butchering a hog or something? That's a lot of blood to dilute but I suppose it's fine, too. The offal we always pitched to the working dogs and chickens.

Any blood or juice (after cooking), I let it soak in my chickens feed.

They sell blood meal and bone meal for gardens. I have used other stuff naturally but you have to be smart about what you mix in.

A Christian who doesn’t keep Gods commands or laws has no way to know what is right or wrong. Ask for the good way, take the old path, walk in Yahs path of righteousness.

As for me, God said, "Do not eat blood
I would think that's not the way to go. there are other ways for the garden.

Scripture says NO WAY and that is the only thing that matters.
