I'm glad people are losing money on their vehicles. It serves them right for paying insane high prices.

Lots of negative equity grew out of the finance office with useless, expensive and irresponsible add-ons that have ZERO value, like paint protection, wheel and key warranty, extended warranty, service contracts, all should be avoided at all costs.

One problem with Jeeps is they reek of "off roading." Not all potential buyers are into "off roading" and lack places to do so. Millions of Americans are very impulsive..."stupidly impulsive" with purchasing RV's, campers, 5th wheels, boats, off road vehicles, you name it! Storage yards are full of stored vehicles...sitting there not being used and still costing the owners tons of money for loan payments, insurance, and storage fees. I guess some people can be stupidly impulsive by nature...just being human. The smart ones resist the wallet busting temptations.

You should of seen the look on the face of the finance manager at the dealership when I declined the extended warranty on my 23. Priceless!

I bought a 1985 toyota 4x4 in 1985 for 8, 300.00. still in fantastic condition with 250, 000 miles....it's worth at least 20 grand now😮 but I could never replace it so I'll never sell it. I'll never buy the trash they sell now

I bought new in November 2019 and paid off my 2020 Gladiator in 13 months. I just replace things with upgrades as time moves on. When the V-6 finally wears out, it’s get a V8 swap. As long as it doesn’t completely rust out, I’ll keep it. Might replace the frame if it does.

I'm holding off to *#2026*, by then *Toyota* will get/have their act together with the new engines and transmissions.

There is no other brand I care to run to.

Many Tacoma people are buying the *"Frontier"* . It's a it is a tried and true midsize pickup truck, and I'm not hearing any complaints.

Out of curiosity, I checked the value of my truck 6 months ago it came in at $48-49k. Checked it yesterday through jd power and kbb. Came in at $38-39k. $10k different in 6 months.

Once again, they did it to themselves.

NOT only because of the pricing. It's because they are hackable. Nobody wants vehicles that can be stopped and controlled.

I’m not buying a new vehicle if my life depended on it right now, I would like to have a new Honda Ridgeline, but that will come later. I have three vehicles that are well-maintained that are completely paid off and I know how to maintain them. Don’t buy a bigger vehicle than you need. Don’t buy one with all the bells and whistles. It’s nothing more than a mode of Transportation to get from one place to another

How to avoid negative equity: don't go crazy buying new, buy in cash.

People went spend crazy with government money in 2021, that cash is gone and that $700 monthly payment is due. 💴

Yes I would like a shiny new truck, but todays prices inspire me to keep my 2013 f 150 on the road by keeping maintaining fluids tires and shiny paint, if I keep up with it don’t need warranty and keel money in my pocket, wake up America

People are extremely stupid going through all of this back stepping, jumping through hoops and borrowing from Peter to pay Paul, just to look important and impress the Jones' with a new car. If you have Ford pinto pockets, you don't buy a Porsche or another NEW CAR AT ALL. YOU GET AN AFFORDABLE USED VEHICLE THAT WON'T FIND YOU LIVING IN IT BECAUSE YOU CAN'T PAY THE RENT OR MORTGAGE
