I Am Woman - A Tribute to the Women of Star Trek

Something I was inspired to make. Really the best of both worlds because I love Helen Reddy and I'm obsessed with Star Trek. How could I lose?

Admittedly this video is a little Kira Nerys focused more than it is on any other character, but that's because I adore her more than probably any other character in Star Trek - that includes Spock. However I have done my best to include every major heroine in the Star Trek Prime Universe. This includes T'Mir, T'Pau, Lily (First Contact), Grilka, Leeta, K'Ehleyr, Carol Marcus, both of the Saavik's, and Gillian (The Voyage Home).

I also tried my best to make the lyrics work with the imagery I presented in this video. If you have a question about a choice I made then please ask in the comments. I will respond. Hope you enjoy!

All footage belongs to CBS and Paramount respectively. The song "I Am Woman" is performed by Helen Reddy and comes from her album of the same name. I highly recommend it. I do not own these clips or this song. I do own this video.

I love how you started with the three OG Star Trek ladies Lt Uhura, Yeoman Rand and Nurse Chapel as they were in the 60's and then years later. May all three rest in peace; Nichelle Nichols (died 2022) Grace Lee Whitney (died 2015) Majel Barret-Roddenberry (died 2008) 🌹

Not fond of the song itself, but I think this footage makes up for it.
