Get colorful with a Rainbow Memory Wire Bracelet! This gorgeous crystal beaded bracelet is all about the beads. Go through your stash and collect your pretty crystal onesie beads leftover from other projects. Then arrange them in rainbow order. Once you have your design, this easy bracelet goes together in minutes!
Materials
Steps
This bracelet goes together fast because it is made on memory wire. Memory wire is very hard wire that is permanently curved into the coil shape, like a Slinky. You can pull the coils of a memory wire bracelet apart to put the bracelet on and they will automatically go back to the original bracelet size and shape. So there's no need for a clasp. Plus a memory wire bracelet makes a great gift since you don't need to size it!
1. The first step is to gather your beads. We went through all our crystals and found lots of shapes and sizes in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. If you don't have all the beads you need, buy a few to fill in! Lay out your beads in rainbow order ROYGBIV then add in the copper beads and spacers every few beads.
2. Next, cut a piece of memory wire about 3 coils long. To do this, grasp the end of the memory wire and count out three complete loops or coils. Use the memory wire cutters to snip the triple coil off the "Slinky".
3. Twist a loop into one end using the round-nose pliers. Just grasp the end of the wire with your round-nose pliers and begin to rotate. Continue to rotate until you have a complete loop in one end.
4. Start beading! Start at one end of your beads, that is the design you laid out in step 1.
5. Use the memory wire cutters to cut the memory wire about half an inch from the last bead.
6. Twist a loop into the end of the memory wire with round-nose pliers just like you did in step 3.
This would be super fun to do for a wine and craft night with the ladies. You could buy strands of crystals in red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple and then all share. So fun!
Happy Crafting,
Jennifer & Kitty
