Personally I prefer more depth in the bigger pocket for those tat finds like sinkers & alu cans & pull tabs, which would need a zipped lid. The flat front patch pocket with snap hook is fine as it is. I use that in my home made detecting bag that I carry equipment in.

Greetings from the Bear's Hiking & Outdoorsman's Club Ranshaw Pennsylvania Great pouch, just got mine delivered today! You ain't kidding this pouch is built tough, and I love the mesh, the only thing that I don't like is the belt is way too short, I'm a 36 inch waist and it's snug, a few extra inches would be really nice. Anyone here in America that's got a waist size larger than 36 inches this will not fit around them!
