Good Preaching makes Christians Feel Condemned 😞

Many Christians feel good preaching is what leaves them feeling condemned so they won't continue in sin. The gospel doesn't minister condemnation but ministry of reconciliation. So yes there has the be an awareness Christians are living below what they were created for but that reference is in respect to their new identity in Christ. If we minister to God's children as if they are still not God's child. Preaching in a way that causes them to identify with their sin. That leaves them void of the power resident in them to overcome the cycles of sin that are keeping them in bound. They are now a new creation in Christ Jesus and we need to get them established in that Truth so they bear the fruit of the Spirit in them.

that's why we need to maintain a posture of total forgiveness, patience, peace and love. If someone tries to condemn us for preaching the gospel, and make us out to be a bad person, it will be impossible for them to label us as bad people, if they see that we aren't being aggressive overwhelming prosecutors of peoples, they'll almost be forced to see what the good news actually is, and what it actually carries.

in this way we can overcome the world, that is to say the devil, because thats how he works. through fear and condemnation. but if we do not condemn the person ourselves, that mechanism goes out the window, and it becomes empty and illogical, even to the blinded man.

I agree brother! I think we should focus on the great parts of the gospel message, and I also think that focusing too much on sin can be harmful. Ultimately though, I don’t think we should ever get rid of the negative stuff, because otherwise the gospel loses it’s undying beauty as the gift which we have received but did not ever deserve! Let’s preach both things equally, with an emphasis on the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!

You do not speak the truth. You speak lies to comfort people in their sin instead of giving them the power to be free from it! Yes the Holy Spirit is called the Comforter. But did you know He is also called the Spirit of Knowledge and the Fear of the Lord?
