Heavenly. When missing your concert in Geneva the other day I tried to imagine how you would have played these solos. I thought I could but had a misgiving that in reality they were even lovelier. And indeed they were! After all, Mahler wrote them for you.

What a lovely lyrical sound, Miro! So delicate and graceful soaring over a large orchestra. You guys are always making the impossible sound easy.

Trumpeters are tought to have a conceptual model of the sound they want to produce. But how can one imagine that a sound like this could even exist on a trumpet? As never one has played like that before it was not possible. Now it is. It is clear that with such a level of excellence it is even no more possible to speak with the ordinary technical words like "Attacks" or "legato" and the like, as they are to weak to describe the reality here. The words lost their sense because the Instrument is directly connected to the soul, this sets a new milestone, Miro changed the paradigm of trumpet playing.
