“I Need a Beat” came out almost 40 years ago.

I remember as an 80s kid wondering what rappers would be doing in their 50s. I didn’t imagine they’d be some of the biggest actors in TV and movies and still performing new hits. It’s amazing. Props to LL.

Literally one of my favorite rap albums to come out. L’s been a way for 11 years and comes back like he never lost a beat 🤯🤯. This to me, completely destroys any of the newer mainstream shit by alot. It actually makes a statement, has a narrative, and the production takes you back to hip hops origins. What more do you need? Long live the GOAT
