I love the concept of capturing energy as the vehicle sits, and I'm in the planning phase of covering our trailer with solar and adding a battery bank to charge our Rivian (silver R1S just like in the video) at home and extend our range to get out to some remote campsites!

While I still love the idea 180 Miles out of 250kWh is really poor efficiency.

The new Mercedes sprinter electric has half of the battery size and should be about 250 miles..

I love that they tapped in with the solar system and the lightweight ness of the solar panels and yes, the sprinter is kind of smal, but id love to see a solarrolla build of that.

Btw. My best idea for the solar panels would be a folding awning, the 3 panels should glued flexible (maybe with a seatbelt stripe) and a string retention system to fold and unfold them from under the top panels.
