I am an 85 year old classically trained singer with a wide range and Lara Fabian's rendition of
Je suis malade is the best performance I have ever heard!! She is so secure in her vocal
instrument that, she is able to vent her emotions and, control her emotions so the quality
of her voice is unaffected. She has an amazing vocal range and is my all time favorite of
all the female singers I have ever heard!

Hi, Natalia. First time I am tuned to your channel and to listen to also my favorite vocalist of all time, Lara Fabian. You are also the first reactor (and a vocal coach at that) stating outright that Lara is your role model. I'm happy to hear someone say that, which is music to my ears. You are also right saying that Lara is the best of the best.
I am 67 years old and I have heard many excellent singers but none of them could or can do what Lara does. On stage our dearest Lara BECOMES/IS THE STORY...inseparable!
This video shows very clearly how she's already into the story through her composure long before he starts singing. Also right at the end of the video, which you did not show, you would have seen how it took her even a while to recover after the completion of song! That is the mark of a true artist besides everything else she does in between.

It seems to me that Lara Fabian sings always from experience, that is why she can deliver every line of her songs with such a soul and heart. It is so pure and so full of the deepest emotions. Thank you for this analysis full of wisdom and sensibility. Lara Fabian is really one of a kind, an outstanding singer and a loving, intelligent, creative, quality, and gentle woman and human being. Every time she steps on a stage, we, as the audience, will be deeply touched emotionally. She releases hers emotions and, as a consequence, she releases ours. It is pure feeling... Honestly. I have watched this video, then a bunch of reactions videos over and over like 10 times since yesterday and I continue to be just as floored about how primal and raw someone can be, and yet combined with a talent for essentially PERFECT singing technique and a willingness to FUCKING GO THERE and emotionally and surgically destroy herself ON STAGE. I am frankly just in disbelief that it's possible to do that, watch after watch.

I couldn't agree more with you Natalia, definitely Lara Fabian did gone through a lot, indeed she worked hard to reach the vocal goddess level but what really strikes me down is the amount of soul she puts in it, i mean we all know the big names in the industry, Mariah, Celine, Whitney, all of them had their great moments and definitely deserve to be called performers but Lara was above and beyond that caliber . First of all her diaphragm, her stamina, her clarity is O.M.G .

I think God gave us Lara as a gift, her powerful vocals in combination with her emotional connection to each song, plus her ability to speak multiple languages ( 9 ) and write lyrics in ( 6 ) of them, plus she composes and so many other things about her make her so special, so unique that she is a category by herself .

Plus that even though she matured since she did all those videos, one would expect her voice to give away slowly, but not Lara, she is even more powerful now and far more experienced . I personally think her range and her technique are second to none, as you said ...Perfection :)
