One time when I was a cashier, I had received a $2 banknote from one customer earlier in the day and stuck it at the bottom of the till. Hours later, a British tourist came in and as part of his change, I utilized the $2 banknote and his reaction was absolutely priceless. 😂

I worked for a company that wanted to prove we spent a lot of money in the town. So, one day they paid everyone there with brand new $2 dollar bills. that was in the 90's I had the wife come get them had like $385.00 for my check the $2 were all in sequential order.

😢in 1976 the bicentennial $2 dollar note was issued on April 13, 1976. Collectors would get those bills, place a stamp on them, take them to the post office and have the stamp cancelled, show the first dat of issuance of April 13, 1976. I have a $2 bill with the cancellation date of April 12th.

After having this bill for nearly 47 year, I sent it off this week to PMG for grading. It is a crisp bill with no folds or creases. I plan to submit the bill to a Auction House soon.

I used to always tip servers with $2s. My son asked me why. About that moment, our server picked up the check and bills. He went WOW!! when he saw the $2s. Told my son, next time, we're in here, I guarantee, he'll give us great service.

I remember hearing in the news a few years ago, a man was arrested for using real $2 bills. I think he was shopping at Best Buy but the young cashier didn't realize they were real, so told their manager and they called the police..

Lots of businesses won't accept $2 bills just like Susan B Anthony coins. You might think federal law compels them to accept any and all currency but that's not true. Transactional commerce law is actually largely left up to the individual states, and most states allow businesses to set their own policies for the types of fiat they will accept.

If You Showed up at My Brother in laws house at Christmas. He gave us 2$ Bill's for gift's I have always kept them in My Sister's Bible. The numbers are maybe three numbers together. Never been in circulation.
