This is a rundown of every hit song present on the MuchMusic Countdown in 1998. Let's bring some Canadiana to nostalgia playlists! These have been my pet projects for a while because I'm a bit obsessed with old-school MuchMusic/can-con in general.

Going through these videos has helped me pinpoint that it was1997/1998 that I stopped liking popular music for the most part, so when I was 12/13. I remembered holding on a few more years but I guess not.

One of my favorite memories of Much, was one time during Much On Demand, everyone was calling in asking for videos that were in the top 10. Rick Campanelli called out the audience on it, saying that you hear those songs all the time, now's your chance to hear some stuff you don't hear all that often.

I remember as a 7th grader sweet surrender was getting massive air time in my local radio station where I lived @ the time, and for some reason after my junior high basketball games that song would come on the radio there in ol TEX. Good times.

Closing Time peaking at 26 seems bizarre. It was a huge hit at the time on the radio, and obviously endured massively.

i can't believe stereo by the watchmen only reached number 9 on the countdown, it should have reached number 1 because that song is amazing even though i was 2 years old in 1998
