The podcast is evolving and I'm glad to see it.

Great idea Andy. Keep putting these snips of value info from older podcasts up. Once you start to get a huge collection of episodes, gem episodes will get lost in the sauce.

Too bad Army privates in IET can't seem to understand this🤦🏼‍♂️
I swear back in BT we had a Specialist from the Marine Corp (who also had a combat patch). I swear this guy was so honorable he almost made me cry. The amount of love and affection he would show to the weakest of the trainees, that big brother support, love and affection, the warmth he would have in his eyes when he saw a little kid broken down in tears. Damn. That really made me wish I could have become like him. He was a real American hero 🇺🇸

This was one of the most inspirational of all Cleared Hot interviews. I think of him often, keeps my griping down to a minimum.

Kyle Carpenter is a hero in his daily life not just in one event. I've been catching up on Jocko eisodes and had just listened to his interview of Mr. Carpenter 2 days before Andy posted his interview. It was awesome.

When I joined the fire service after the marine corps I was shocked when the Lt would eat before his crew.

Now I make sure my crew eats chow before me bc you never know when that next call is coming out and my guys have to be working a patient or scene while all I do is supervise...

These Clips are the best for podcasts. I discovered the Joe Rogan podcast through finding clips from his episodes. Keep it up, love to see the podcast grow.

As someone who’s been an employee and a manager, the leader should always eat last, or at the very least make sure no one else is hungry

I’m not sure about other services but I know the Army was a leaders eat last philosophy.

Didn't Marcus Aurelius eat last as well?

Glad the non rates are still at the front of the chow line. On the rare times when hot chow was served, staff nco’s and officers ate last. There was never an exception...

Leaders eat last in the Army, too. I can't speak for Navy and AF because they are a different animal from Army and The Corps.

3 squad leaders per platoon, interesting. Marines must be different from Army in that aspect

I think this is the regular army’s biggest problem, superiors go to the front of the chow line. I know that’s simple to people who haven’t experienced this, but it means a lot in unit cohesion.
