To be fair OSU was 2nd for Downs initially behind Alabama. Selecting OSU is not totally from left field, right?

OSU really hasn’t done anything in the transfer portal since it became legal to 1 time transfer free. As soon as they go all in they strike gold and people want to complain and whine about it.

I think Rich doesn't realize Michigan is paying players legally now!

The school doesn’t give the NIL. it comes from the NIL groups. At Ohio State, it’s The Foundation and 1870 Society. The Foundation is a no-profit and has the players do charity work.

Yeah Jim Harbaugh is going to follow the rules in the NFL. Right. When has he ever broken any rules?

When NFL teams spend $200M a year on players why is so so amazing these big schools are paying tens on millions in NIL. These programs have been printing money for decades. At least now a good chunk is going to the players.

They win a national championship, and they still can't stop thinking about Ohio State! Amazing...smh.

You talk too much about the portal. OSU only signed 6 guys in the portal. They brought back 10 starters using NIL that could have gone to the NFL and drafted in rounds 2-7. This is new (and legal) and that is why people dont like it. Most of OSU's NIL has gone to retain players on their team.

One point no one is mentioning is that schools like Ohio State and Clemson did not participate in NIL because the NCAA had not set any rules. We’ll look what happen to OHio State and especially Clemons. Other schools especially in the SEC have been buying players the last two or three years, so all Ohio State is doing play catchup

Gonna say this before I listen. OSU did not pay $13 million in NIL for their 6 transfers, nor for all their Guys to come back. The $13 million is from a quote from Ryan Day from last year about how much he thinks it’ll cost on average for them to be able to keep the recruits they get with the new NIL world. Down’s choose OSU over Georgia because he didn’t like Georgia and never has. His family never did. He wanted to go to OSU before he went to Bama and only went for Saban and the defense they had, Knowles hadn’t proven anything with OSU yet. Sayin likes BOB and he liked OSU in high school, he reached out and OSU sat on it for days before deciding to take him. Judkins reached out to Igbinousa who transferred from Ole Miss last year and heard good things, he also wants to lighten his work load before going to the NFL and he can split Carrie’s with Henderson. Howard could be some NIL plus he gets weapons he never even dreamed of at Kansas State plus an open starter spot is available. The TE is a 2/3 Star who was going to Ohio University before so NIL not involved there. The last piece to the 6 transfer guys is Seth, who transferred after Saban retired and he choose OSU quite quickly. OSU does need help on the Oline so he’s almost guaranteed a starter spot and I’m sure he’s getting decent NIL. Now all the returning players were mostly mid round to later picks besides maybe JT and Egbuka and Burkes. They all came together from their recruiting class and decided to come back as a group. It’s the same damn thing Michigan did last year. So again, before I listen to this if I hear any criticism of it from the Michigan fan, he’s a hypocrite and doesn’t know the actual facts. What Lane Kiffin tweeted out was not facts at all and now has spread like wildfire. OSU only has 6 transfers in. They’ve lost way more. And Texas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Florida State and others have much bigger transfer classes.

Eisen is nothing but a Michigan Homer. How many portal transfers did Michigan have on this year’s team Rich?
