I’ve applied here in Houston for a house and the interest rates have been 7% or higher. It’s too much, I decided not to buy and wait a little bit.

One of the tools is to raise bank reserves. This would stop indiscriminate loans to individuals who cannot make their payments, both car and home. Bank reserves at present are 0%. It is common for bank reserves to be 10%. 0% is just dangerous and reckless.

1st time homebuyer here. My loan officer who got us our pre-approval told me they predict interest rates dropping around May 10th. Was he wrong? Are you saying it's going to go up in May not down?

Honesly in your opinion would you think it would be wise to wait a year or too before taking a 300 thousand dollar loan with interest rates being $150 thousand on a 15 year term i know it could do anything but if you were in my shoes would you wait it out and see what happens

This may be a dumb request, but could you make a video on how mortgage brokers work? I’m a little overwhelmed in looking for the right mortgage for me and want to get the best deal possible obviously, but I feel there’s a lot of programs that I’m uneducated on. Do I have to pay a mortgage broker outside of the loan? What’s the benefit to using a mortgage broker over a bank? Lots of questions! 🥴
