I went to best buy the other day fully expecting to walk out with a Samsung note 10 plus. curitosity got the better of me and I started playing around with the camera on the pro max and I ended up walking out with nothing conflicted. I was taking pictures and videos with both in store(hard to do tethered to an alarm) so now I've been looking up videos since. Excellent video. Still conflicted.

You are one of the few reviewers to comment on the limitations of not being able to seamlessly switch between the three lenses when shooting 4K 60. As of 13.1.3, you are locked to the lens you start shooting 4K 60 with. You can only zoom in and even then it is digital zoom only. For example, as you noted in the video, initiating recording with the 1x lens at 4K 60 does not let you zoom out to 0.5 - you can only digital zoom in. That is because the phone won’t switch to using the other lenses unless you stop recording first. The limitation doesn’t appear to exist when shooting in other resolution/frame rate combinations.

4K60 front facing camera looks amazing. Even though I shoot in 1080P, I wouldn't mind recording in 4K then downsample to 1080P with all that crispiness. It looks like we all gotta have a 4K Laptop now. The regular iPhone 11 $699 can do the same thing so people do have the choice now.

Is the flickering in the sky because of the video compression from YouTube or is that just how it is right from the phone?
If it’s just from the compression from YouTube, the cameras on the new iPhone are fantastic, love it’s video capabilities

what i do want to know is. if you select 1080p 60fps. does it allow you to switch lens during recording?

I’ve seen quite a few videos talking about OLED screens having a big downside i.e flickering of the screen especially at lower brightness levels, & causing headaches, also screen burn.
What’s your experience, do you find any problems.

Effort is appreciated, but it's not much of a test if you only shoot in very bright light. Even a normal interior would be very telling. Like when you say the ultrawide would be good if you're stuck in the corner of the room. How about going inside and shooting when you're stuck in the corner of the room? Do you get more artifacts? How well does motion stabilization work when the horizon isn't so well defined as it is outside? etc. Thanks!

Hi Dave. Thanks for great review once again.
One thing that I noticed in all your video that when image stabilization is off the video looks more real, but when it's on it looks like in milliseconds some pixels drop and fade out to reassemble again and make the next frame. Am I right? Does anyone else sense this? Isn't it better to turn it off Dave?
