Also pro tip, I've been using Blender for around 4 years now. Don't use the decimate modifier to reduce your triangles, this is because it changes the quality of the model and moves around the vertices. Instead, go into Edit mode, and select all of the vertices. Then go to Mesh at the top, in Mesh open up the Clean Up tab, then in the Clean Up tab, press Decimate Geometry. Open the box at the bottom left corner of your screen, and set the ratio to a number 0-1. 0 having almost no verts, and 1 not changing anything. I would recommend setting this to 0.2 or 0.3, if you have over 100, 000 vertices. I would STRONGLY recommend using the decimate modifier! Sorry for this long comment, hope it helps!
