I totally understand your new relationship with alcohol. It’s very similar to mine. Also, for ice cream, there are some pretty good dairy free versions out there. So far I’ve found the best to be the ones that Ben & Jerry’s make. And if you ever come to Alberta, Made by Marcus makes amazing non-dairy ice cream. For “creamy” pastas, I like to make sauces with avocado. You can even do a non-dairy pesto type sauce if you blend avocado with olive oil, pine nuts, garlic, and basil. I’ve never tried it, but I’m sure there are some ‘alfredo’ type sauces with blended tofu too. It’s not as good as the real deal but worth a shot :)
