I did expect for the pet peeves. People parking too close was my pet peeve for a long time. Decades. Until one day I saw someone parking in a lot that is usually full and hard to find a spot. I immediately tensed up because they almost were in two spots. Barely were not. That day though I had to stop and wait while they maneuvered in and out to make sure they were inside the lines. A light bulb went off in my head. They had to do that because the person to the right had done that and dotted up and down the row it could be traced to the handicapped spot. That person was parked correctly however I could tell because I need handicapped parking myself that the spot itself was created in a way that would only work for the passenger. The driver would not be able to completely open the door enough to get out and to a chair or walker if it was in the backseat. If the door is not all the way open it moves and not stable enough to prevent a fall. I’m sure you can guess how I know. Most often it’s a chain reaction. Of course occasionally it’s a bad driver. Even if the next car in line is parked correctly you don’t know if the one now causing you a problem was there before or after someone that was part of that chain reaction.
